Location: Verandah S6B / S6D, 6/F, Staunton (Block A)

In this workshop, participants will get to give the famous painting in history a refreshing new look by translating it into simple geometric shapes with Rex Koo.

This workshop hopes to inspire the participants to appreciate and re-interpret the classics from a different perspective.

Simple People (Rex Koo)

Rex Koo is a visual artist, graphic designer, and illustrator based in Hong Kong. He has participated in a number of creative projects and exhibitions, and collaborated with brands. In 2013, Rex started the Simple People series, in which he uses geometric shapes to create portraits within a grid of 32 x 48. His early works of this series are mainly portraits of pop icons and celebrities. Recently, he started to transform the masterpieces in classical paintings. Rex has also been exploring different media in his creations such as screen printing, wood craft and animation.
